Habit Agent Privacy Policy

Habit Agent is a local-first habit tracking application developed by Sujan Deb. This policy explains how the app handles information.

Information stored by the app

Habit Agent stores the information you enter, including habit names, schedules, completion history, reminder preferences, and app settings, locally on your device. This information is used only to provide the app's habit tracking, statistics, reminder, export, and import features.

No data collection or tracking

Habit Agent does not require an account and does not transmit your habit data to the developer or to a developer-operated server. The app does not include advertising, analytics, behavioral tracking, or third-party data collection SDKs.

Device permissions

The app may request or use these Android capabilities:

• Notifications, only when you enable optional habit reminders.
• Device restart events, so enabled reminders can be restored after a restart.

Habit Agent does not request access to your contacts, precise location, camera, microphone, or photos.

Export, import, and sharing

You may choose to export your Habit Agent data as a JSON file or import a previously exported file. When you intentionally save or share an export, Android's system file picker or share sheet lets you choose the destination. Any third-party app or service you select handles that file according to its own privacy policy. Habit Agent does not automatically upload exports.

Data retention and deletion

Your information remains on your device until you delete it in the app, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. The developer cannot access or recover locally stored data.

Children's privacy

Habit Agent is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Security

Habit Agent relies on Android's application sandbox and your device's security protections. You are responsible for securing your device and any exported files you create.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the app's functionality or privacy practices change. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the latest revision.
